Rick Stein's Steakhouse is a modern American steak and seafood house. This contemporary variation on the classic theme updates the standard steakhouse by warming the dining room with woods and lights that are not so dark, but comfortable and inviting, live piano music that is never too loud, superb food that is executed with perfection, and careful thoughtful service that is never obtrusive. White napkins have been replaced by lint-free black linen.
Traditional cuts of USDA Prime Beef are hand selected and cut to order. Chops include an unbelievable Lamb rack and profoundly good Veal. Many wonderful seafood dishes are offered, presenting a diverse and wide selection, and a pleasing exception to the typical steakhouse offerings. Entrees here include sides; beef dinners are accompanied by (white cheddar and bacon infused) whipped potatoes and asparagus, while the seafood is paired with wild rice pilaf, and sugar snap peas. There are plenty of other sides offered a la carte, for those that enjoy additional vegetables. The menu also includes many memorable appetizers, classic salad presentations, and soup selections that include a world class Lobster Bisque.
The dining space is cosmopolitan, and inviting. Service is a hallmark, and the menu has been carefully crafted and served to exacting standards. The steakhouse offers an outdoor smoking terrace, that is furnished with heaters, fans, and clear curtains that are designed to keep out inclement weather when necessary. Smoking, although banned in Dallas, is welcome here, since it is 'outside.' Cigars by Padron are exclusively offered.
