Set in the cultural center of Kansas City, on the Country Club Plaza, Plaza III has been serving the Midwest's finest steaks for over four decades. USDA Prime, aged cuts of Midwestern Beef, Chops, Fresh Fish and Lobster are the stars of this classic steakhouse. Lighter fare at lunch, featuring daily specials, salads and sandwiches. Plaza III's commitment to top quality is reflected in the fact that they operate their own meat processing facility. The beef is corn fed, custom selected and aged for 21 to 28 days to develop natural tenderness and exceptional flavor.
Cuts of beef are showcased table side by Plaza III's professional wait staff in a handsome dark wood setting. General Manager Joe Wilcox is a 35 year veteran restaurateur who personally sees to the needs of you and your guests.
With over 800 selections, the wine list emphasizes the excellent Cabernets, Merlots and Meritages of California. Plaza III has received Wine Spectator's "Award of Excellence" for the past 14 years. Sommelier Duane Daniels has been collecting and selling fine wines for Plaza III for over 30 years.
Plaza III recently remodeled their lower level, adding 5 new private dining rooms along with a newly designed bar. Along with the ever popular American Royal Room and the Wine Cellar, Plaza III can now offer a variety of private dining to groups of 8 to 200.
Also well known for live music, Plaza III features local Jazz and Blues musicians and helps continue Kansas City's rich music heritage.
